Patrick E. Hobbs, 46, has served as the Dean of the Law School at Seton Hall University since 1999, and from 1995 until 1999 he served as the Associate Dean for Finance. Mr. Hobbs joined the faculty of Seton Hall in 1990, and he continues to teach in the area of tax law, including Federal Income Taxation, Corporate Taxation, Business Planning, and Law and Literature. Mr. Hobbs is a Commissioner on the New Jersey State Commission of Investigation. He is a member of the Standards Review Committee of the American Bar Association, Section of Legal Education and Admissions to the Bar, and has twice chaired the Law School Development Committee. He serves as a member of the boards of the Newark Alliance, Lexis-Nexis, Newark Beth Israel Medical Center, the New Jersey Commission of Professionalism, and the New Jersey Institute for Continuing Legal Education. In 2004 he served as the Chairman of the Newark, New Jersey Mayor's Blue Ribbon Commission on the Downtown Core Redevelopment. Mr. Hobbs received a BS from Seton Hall University, a JD from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and an LL.M. from New York University.
