Pat Connolly is Executive Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer and oversees all marketing aspects for the company. During his tenure, he has focused on building the company's direct-to-customer business including the growth and marketing of its seven catalogs, the introduction and development of its e-commerce business, and the strategic implementation of its multi-channel retailing strategy.
Mr. Connolly joined Williams-Sonoma, Inc. in May of 1979, as Vice President of Mail Order, and has held the positions of Senior Vice President, Mail Order, and Executive Vice President, GM Catalog.
Prior to joining the company, Mr. Connolly held positions with Procter &Gamble, Xerox Computer Services, and founded or co-founded three mail order companies, including Sportswares with tennis star Billie Jean King.
Mr. Connolly has served on the boards of numerous companies and non-profit organizations. For the past six years he has served on the board of the Direct Marketing Association. He currently serves on the management board of the Stanford Business School and CafePress. He is a frequent speaker on direct marketing and multi-channel retailing.
Mr. Connolly holds a B.S. in mechanical engineering from Oregon State University and an M.B.A. from Stanford University's Graduate School of Business. |
