Mr. Murphy regularly represents finance companies, banks, lending institutions, investment funds and individual investors throughout the southeast. He has closed several hundred million dollar subordinate debt/mezzanine financing transactions with the size of the investments ranging from $500,000 to $20 million. The investments have included senior loans, subordinate loans, debt with warrants, preferred stock and common stock. The transactions have involved businesses from various parts of the country with the most significant portion located in the southeast and mid Atlantic regions of the country. He generally represents investors and lenders; however, he also represents borrowers and companies seeking growth capital. In addition, Mr. Murphy has represented companies in connection with private placements of securities and other capital raising transactions. Mr. Murphy's practice also includes representing regional and local banks for commercial lending transactions, and several privately owned and family owned companies for general business and planning matters.
