Patty joined D. W. Simpson & Company in December of 1989. She was specifically brought in to change the focus of the firm solely to actuarial recruiting. As a Managing Partner of D.W. Simpson, Patty managed the staff of recruiters and researchers for 17 years. Recently her role has become more training-, strategic- and client-focused. In addition, Patty has made presentations on a variety of topics at actuarial meetings. She has also been featured in Actuarial Digest, roundtable actuarial market discussions and other publications. Prior to joining D.W. Simpson & Company, Patty spent two years as an actuarial recruiter with a Chicago-based general insurance recruiting firm. Patty graduated from the University of Minnesota with a bachelor's degree in Psychology and a minor in Business. Upon graduating, Patty spent one year with the investment firm Drexel Burnham Lambert at the Chicago Board of Options Exchange before moving into the Executive Search field. Outside the office from 1991-96, Patty performed with the Tracy von de Haar Dance Troup (formerly the nationally renown Lou Conti's Dance Troupe) in Chicago, and studied with the Hubbard Street Dance Company. Patty also is on the fundraising and welcoming committee of Lyc�e Fran�ais in Chicago (a French-based school) and served on the design committee of the Saddle & Cycle Club. She also serves on the Women�s board of the Joffrey Ballet. Patty is married and has three daughters. |
