Patty Shea is Avistas manager of energy emergency services, and has been with the company for 23 years.
Patty is a Spokane native who was hired as an executive assistant to an Avista vice president when she was a young college student. Since then her positions have included electric and gas operations and construction design, re-engineering, human resources, marketing, and call center management.
While working at Avista, Patty has earned her bachelors and masters degrees in business administration from Eastern Washington University. Lifelong learning is my passion, said Patty. Avista gives employees so many opportunities to grow and be challenged, no matter what your interests.
Patty also appreciates the support and encouragement Avistas leadership gives to employees who are involved in their communities. She has a long list of activities she participates in, including the boards of Junior Achievement and Washington State Future Business Leaders of America.
Patty is a graduate of the Leadership Spokane program, and is also an adjunct professor at Whitworth College and Webster University, both in the Spokane area.
For fun, Patty enjoys playing softball, going to Seattle Mariners games, watching professional football and collecting old sports cars. |
