Paul has over 10 years of CFO and financial consulting experience within emerging technology companies, which have risen in excess of $100m in private equity venture capital through multiple rounds of financing. Prior to entering the technology industry, Paul spent 10 years with KPMG as a Senior Manager and co-chairman of the Des Moines, Iowa office commercial practice serving start-ups to Fortune 500 companies. In his role with KPMG, Paul led M&A consulting engagements, representing hundreds of millions of dollars in transactions, in addition providing attestation services. Paul's CFO experiences include Stockpoint.com (www.stockpoint.com), which was recently acquired by Screaming Media, e-markets.com (www.e-markets.com) and Phasient Learning Technologies, LLC (www.phasient.com). Paul also provides various financial services to multiple emerging technology companies in the software, wireless Internet and biotech industries. In addition to Greentree Partners, Paul is President of Pivotal Capital Services, LLP; a financial consulting firm located in Des Moines, Iowa and is also a partner with Larson Watson Bartling & Juffer, LLP, a CPA/consulting firm located in Des Moines, Iowa. Paul is a member of the Software and Information Technology of Iowa, the Iowa Society of CPAs, and Institute of Managerial Accountants. Paul holds a degree in accounting from the University of Iowa and is a Certified Public Accountant. |
