Dr. Paul E. Jacobs became a Director of the Company in June 2005 and now serves as its chief executive officer. Dr. Jacobs has been the primary driver of the Company's focus on enabling wireless data. Dr. Jacobs has held numerous engineering and management positions since joining the Company fulltime in 1990. In 1995 Dr. Jacobs became vice president and general manager of the combined handset and integrated circuit division. He was named senior vice president of the Company in 1996 and president of the Company's Consumer Products division in 1997. Dr. Jacobs was named executive vice president of the Company in 2000 and group president of Company's Wireless & Internet group in 2001. Dr. Jacobs holds a Ph.D. in electrical engineering from the University of California at Berkeley |
