As president of Christian Hospital, Macek leads a 493-bed acute-care medical center in north St. Louis County noted for its excellence in heart services, cardiothoracic surgery, emergency medicine, neurosurgery, cancer treatment, psychiatric services and substance abuse programs, radiology, urology, pulmonology and radiation oncology. Macek also oversees Northwest HealthCare six miles west of Christian Hospital, which offers 24-hour emergency care, outpatient diagnostic and imaging services (MRI, CT, general radiology, ultrasound and women's services), a breathing center and a sleep lab. Northwest HealthCare offers care in a convenient setting to complement hospital services.
Macek is a member of the American College of Health-Care Executives and is active in the Florissant Valley Rotary Club. |
