Mr. Levenson is a partner at Casner & Edwards, LLP. His practice focuses on commercial law, real estate and finance, banking and secured lending. For over 20 years Mr. Levenson has represented financial institutions, individuals, and corporate clients in sophisticated commercial, bank financing and real estate transactions. His many years of experience include handling commercial real estate and securitized loans; asset-based credits; agented and multi-lender transactions and capital financings. He has also counseled clients in numerous commercial lease transactions. For many years Mr. Levenson represented venture capital companies and banks in the communications lending area and was involved in hundreds of financings for cable, radio, television and outdoor advertising companies. More recently, Mr. Levenson has advised many of this region�s banks and financial institutions in a wide variety of matters, including multi-million dollar revolving credit and mortgage loan transactions, as well as high profile real estate foreclosures for quasi-governmental agencies. Mr. Levenson devotes a significant amount of his practice to representing lenders involved in troubled credits. He has personally supervised and managed an extraordinary number of workouts including drafting sophisticated forebearance agreements, and overseen many real and personal property foreclosures. Mr. Levenson has served on the program committee of the Boston Bar Association�s Commercial Lending Section. Other achievements include being named a Massachusetts Superlawyer by Boston Magazine, recognizing him among the top 5% of attorneys in the state. Practicing since 1985 he is admitted in Massachusetts, the United States District Court for the District of Massachusetts and the United States Court of Appeals for the First Circuit. Mr. Levenson graduated in 1980 from Brown University magna cum laude where he was elected to Phi Beta Kappa. He is also a 1984 graduate of Duke University School of Law, where he was a Jenny Ferrara scholar. Following law school he served as law clerk to the Hon. Joseph Weisberger, Associate Justice of the Rhode Island Supreme Court. In the community, Mr. Levenson is involved in a number of non-profit institutions, including serving as a corporator of the Worcester Art Museum; as a member of the Boston and Worcester Advisory Boards of the Salvation Army; and as a Director of the Massachusetts Symphony Orchestra, Friends of Institute Park, Inc. and the Hillside Restoration Project. In 1999, Mr. Levenson received the Cultural Enrichment Award from the Worcester Telegram and Gazette. Mr. Levenson is also a member of the Boston Athenaeum and Brown and Duke Clubs of Boston. |
