Paul Harman practices in Jones Waldo�s Real Estate Department and heads its Retail Development Group. He has significant experience in all aspects of shopping center development, but his primary focus has been purchasing or leasing space for big box retailers. In his work for national retail clients, he has sold, purchased or leased property in shopping centers in almost every state in the country. For years, he represented American Stores Companies and later its successor, Albertson�s, on the East Coast, throughout the Midwest, in the Southwest and on the West Coast in both its drug store and grocery store operations. He represents Lowe�s Companies, Inc. in negotiating store locations for its very ambitious expansion program in both the Midwest and the West. His clients also include Wal-Mart Stores and Nash-Finch Company. Paul has received an AV rating from Martindale Hubbell. He was named one of the top real estate lawyers in Utah in the 2006 and 2007 editions of Chambers' America�s Leading Business Lawyers and listed in Utah Business Magazine�s 2008 Legal Elite in real estate.
Paul graduated magna cum laude from Brigham Young University in 1980 with a bachelor of science in history and English. He received his J.D. from Brigham Young University�s J. Reuben Clark Law School in 1983, graduating cum laude. He is a member of the Utah State Bar�s Real Property Section, the National Order of the Barristers and the American Bar Association. |
