Mr. Kavanaugh was born in Detroit, Michigan, December 14, 1955. He holds a B.S. in Accounting from Valparaiso University (1978), and his J.D. from the University of Notre Dame Law School (1981).

Mr. Kavanaugh has served as a member of the board of trustees for Bloomfield Village, Michigan and is active in a number of civic and charitable organizations.
