Mr. Buongiorno is a member of the Investment Management Team, and is responsible for establishing the firm's economic and asset class outlook. Additionally, Mr. Buongiorno is intimately involved in the manager due diligence process and portfolio allocation decisions for client accounts.

Prior to joining Tiedemann Trust Company, Paul was a hedge fund manager for Tiedemann Investment Group. Before joining Tiedemann, Paul worked as a consultant to Trellus Management, LLC, a New York-based hedge fund, where he worked as a Large Capitalization Equity generalist. Prior to Trellus, Paul served as the Senior Oil and Gas Exploration Analyst, first for S.G. Warburg, then for Deutsche Morgan Grenfell. Paul received first and second place honors from the Wall Street Journal for best E&P stock selection during 1995 and 1996, respectively, as well as fourth place honors for most accurate earnings estimates for 1997. Earlier in his career, Paul served as a corporate banking/finance officer for Chemical Bank and Union Bank of Switzerland. Paul received a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics and Finance with Departmental Distinction Honors from Southern Methodist University.
