Prior to being named President of Clear Channel Outdoor's worldwide operations Mr. Meyer held the position of President and CEO of Clear Channel Outdoor's North and Latin American division. Mr. Meyer served as the Company's Executive Vice President and General Counsel before being named its President in 1999.
Prior to joining Clear Channel in 1996 Mr. Meyer served for over twenty years as the managing partner of Meyer Hendricks & Bivens and its predecessor law firms. His practice focused on complex commercial transactions including mergers acquisitions and financings. He also developed substantial expertise handling municipal sports facilities transactions and other complex public/private development projects.
Mr. Meyer currently serves as the elected Chairman of the Outdoor Advertising Association of America. He also serves on the Board of Directors and the Executive Committee of the Traffic Audit Bureau and is its Secretary/Treasurer. He is a member of a number of boards of nonprofit organizations.
Mr. Meyer obtained an undergraduate degree summa cum laude from St. Mary's University of Minnesota. He received his law degree cum laude from the University of Notre Dame where he was the Editor-in-Chief of the Notre Dame Law Review. Before entering private practice in Phoenix he served as senior law clerk to Chief Justice Earl Warren of the United States Supreme Court. In April 2002 St. Mary's University of Minnesota awarded Mr. Meyer an honorary doctorate degree in Ethical Leadership. |
