Mr. Quadros has brought strategic leadership and his wealth of experience to early-stage and mature companies as a venture capital manager for over 20 years. Since 2001, Paul has been Managing Partner of Tenex Greenhouse Ventures, an early stage life-science venture fund affiliated with Tenex Medical Investors, an angel group which Paul co-founded.
Paul is a founder and former Chairman of the Board of Corautus Genetics, a cardiovascular gene therapy company that was formed in 2003 through the merger of GenStar Therapeutics, a public company, and Vascular Genetics, Inc. Paul co-founded GenStar in 1995 and served as its President and CEO through a milestone partnering agreement with Baxter Healthcare in 1998. From 1998 to 2003, Paul was GenStar's Executive Chairman and served as Chairman of Corautus, the new merged company until 2004. GenStar was the top performing biotech stock on the AMEX in 2000.
From 1986-1994, Paul was a General Partner of Technology Funding Ltd., a venture capital management organization. He is also founder and former Chairman of the Board of Cardiac Science, a developer of automated external defibrillator software and devices. Paul currently serves as a member of the board of several public and private companies. He holds a BA in Finance from California State University at Fullerton and an MBA from The Anderson School of Management at UCLA. |
