Paul Vogel is senior vice president and managing director for Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA) for Siemens PLM Software, a business unit of the Siemens Industry Automation Division. Based at Siemens PLM Software s European headquarters in Camberley, U.K., Vogel directs an organization that covers 40 countries and is responsible for all aspects of Siemens PLM Software s business in the region, including Sales, Sales Support and Services Delivery. Vogel joined Siemens PLM Software from Global Exchange Services (GXS), a leading worldwide provider of business-to-business integration, synchronization and collaboration solutions, where he had served as vice president of sales for Europe since 2004. Prior to his employment with GXS, he was a vice president and general manager for PeopleSoft in Europe, with responsibility for J.D. Edwards operations throughout EMEA. Originally joining J.D. Edwards in 1997, he quickly moved through a series of increasingly responsible positions, based on his ability to build strong effective organizations and achieve consistent growth in revenues and profit. Paul spent 11 years at IBM in a number of sales and sales leadership roles. He was one of the first in the company to sell consulting services and led a team focused on moving the company into complex projects, outsourcing and systems integration. During this time he developed extensive international experience as part of a worldwide team responsible for developing IBM service offerings. A graduate of Metropolitan University of London, Paul brings 20 years of experience in international sales and general management for software and services within a wide range of industries. He lives in the UK, and enjoys spending most of his free time with his family.
