Paul graduated with honors from Cambridge University in 1986 after having studied natural sciences, including biochemistry and psychology, and then computer sciences. He worked for a consultancy firm in Cambridge for six years before setting up his own company in 1992. Paul has had broad experience in a number of industries and previous projects include scientific instruments, an air-traffic control system, a television graphics system, and consumer telecommunications equipment. In 1994 a longstanding interest in computer graphics and video led him to begin work on a video pre-processing and compression system leading to his acquisition in 1999 by On2. Since joining On2 he has been closely involved in the development of On2's core video compression offerings. |
