Pauline A. Schneider is a partner in the Public Finance Group of Orrick�s Washington D.C. office. Ms. Schneider�s practice focuses on transactional matters including the representation of state and local governments and governmental instrumentalities underwriters investment bankers and credit enhancement providers on general obligation and revenue bond financings for airports mass transit water and sewers housing hospitals educational facilities convention centers sports arenas and general government projects. Pauline has been involved in numerous bar and law related activities and organizations. She currently is a member of the National Association of Bond Lawyers and is a former member of the Board of National Association of Securities Professionals. She served as President of the District of Columbia Bar and a member of its Board of Governors. She is very active in the American Bar Association currently serving as a member of its Board of Governors and its House of Delegates and as Chair of the Council of Section on Legal Education and Admissions to the Bar. She is a member of the boards of and Diamond Management & Technology Consultants Inc. Potomac Electric Power Company (PEPCO) MDL Capital Management and the Board of Consultants of Riggs Bank. In addition Pauline is immediate past Chair of the Board of MedStar Health and is a member of its executive committee. She is immediate past chair of the Access Group the largest provider of loans for law students in the country. She is a member of the board and executive committee of The Economic Club of Washington and the National Partnership for Women and Families (formerly the Women�s Legal Defense Fund). She also is a board member of the Shakespeare Theatre Lab School of Washington University of Maryland Baltimore Foundation Lawyers Committee for Civil Rights and the Federal City Council and is a past Chair of the board of the Joint Center for Political and Economic Studies. She also currently serves on the President�s Advisory Council for Washington College.
