As a former senior manager with Ernst & Young, L.L.P. and an internal litigation support professional with Munsch, Hardt, Kopf, & Harr, P.C., Mr. Harrison has gained extensive experience in the preparation of expert witness testimony in litigation cases involving valuation issues and damage models. These cases have dealt with intellectual property infringement, breach of contract & lost profits, dissenting shareholders, business interruption, voting & non-voting share values, and minority, closely-held discounts. He has provided expert witness testimony for depositions and trials, and his clients have included Compaq, Airgas, News Corp., Columbia/HCA, DHL and Blockbuster. In the area of intellectual property, Payne has assisted some of the major universities in Texas in pursuing licensing opportunities for a spectrum of technologies. These included image processing technology for military and medical applications, advanced polymers for transparent armor, and geo-mechanical software for the oilfield service industry. He has conducted market analyses of patents, trademarks, software and other intangible assets; including analyses of licensing and royalty agreements. Has testified as an expert witness in intellectual property litigation cases, and has been a speaker on IP/financial issues. Mr. Harrison is also a New York Times bestselling author who has written four novels, including Storming Intrepid , Thunder of Erebus, Black Cipher and Forbidden Summit. He is experienced in copyright law and licensing intellectual property within the entertainment industry; and his titles have been translated and licensed in nine countries. Mr. Harrison holds a B.A. in journalism and M.A. in political science from Texas A&M University, and an M.B.A. in finance from Southern Methodist University. |
