Pedro A. Botello Ort�z from Monterrey, Mexico, was elected to serve a two-year term as a director of The International Association of Lions Clubs at the association�s 89th International Convention, held in Boston, Massachusetts, USA, June 30-July 4, 2006.
Director Botello is a business consultant.
A member of the Monterrey Poniente AC Lions Club since 1975, Director Botello has held many offices within the association, including founding club president, zone chairperson, region chairperson, district secretary and district governor. He has also served as Impact Team leader and SightFirst II national/multinational coordinator.
In recognition of his service to the association he has received numerous awards, including the 100% Club President Award, 100% District Governor Award, 100% District Secretary Award, two International President�s Medals and eight International President�s Certificates of Appreciation. He is also a Melvin Jones Fellow.
In addition to his Lions activities, Director Botello is active in numerous professional and community organizations. He is a member of the administrative cabinet of the Central de Abastos Monterrey AC, honorary president of the Eloy Cavazos & Company Foundation, honorary president and founder of the American Football Juvenile Lions Club and honorary president and owner of the Botello Country Club Riding Resort.
Director Botello and his wife, Nancy, also a Lion and Melvin Jones Fellow, have three children and one grandchild. |
