Ms. McDonough has over 20 years experience in architecture and design. She brings particular understanding to university campus projects and projects requiring an interpretive aspect to the program. Her work for the Antelope Island Visitor Center at Utahs Great Salt Lake was awarded for its creativity and respect for the natural context, two aspects she seeks in all projects. Her design expertise is reflected in several museums and visitor centers, balanced by school, retail, and office project experience as well. In architecture and civic service, she has encouraged the integration of artists work in the design process. Well traveled during her academic and internship years, Ms McDonough brings a cross-culturally sensitive and knowledgeable approach to architectural design. Her honors include being the recipient of the 1989 Annual Lloyd Warren Fellowship / Paris Prize in Architecture, awarded to one young architect annually by the National Institute for Architectural Education, formerly the Ecole des Beaux Arts in Paris, France. She is a member of ULI and currently sits on the Salt Lake City Planning Commission, where she is an active decision-maker for the citys urban design future. |
