Penny Handscomb, joined us in May 1999 as the Vice President of Human Resources and Training. She came with over 14 years of experience in the Human Resource field. For the past several years, Ms. Handscomb has been responsible for setting the strategic and operational development of the HR function for startup companies mainly in the Call Center industry as well as having worked in the Software, CTI industry. She has worked extensively throughout Canada and the U.S. in addition to working internationally. In doing so she was responsible for setting the strategy and the systems required in the areas of: training, organizational development, performance management, compensation, recruitment and selection and employee relations. She has created innovative hiring and training programs across North America that reduced turnover and the time to hire, as well as increased employee performance. Ms. Handscomb graduated from the University of Waterloo, and from Wilfrid Laurier University, Waterloo, Ontario. She has received her CHRP and CHRM designations which are recognized in Canada and internationally. Currently she is working on obtaining her SPHR designation. |
