P.J. Purnell has 17 years of Marketing, Business Development, and Capture Management with-in the Federal Government market place. This experience is precluded and supported by 23 years of telecommunications experience in System design, implementation, and support.

Prior to joining Suss Consulting, Mr. Purnell spent seven years as the Director of Marketing and Business Development for the Secure Enterprise Solutions Group of Lockheed Martin located in Manassas, Virginia. His responsibilities included supervision of the identification, tracking and pursuit of new business opportunities as well as the on-going support of the existing business base. The major programs within Secure Enterprise Solutions Group included the Defense Messaging System and the U.S. Air Force Information Technology Services.

Mr. Purnell spent the previous 10 years in Marketing and Sales with GTE Network Information Systems. Programs in which Mr. Purnell participated and supported the acquisition for this division included Autodin, FAA Labs, FAA DLP, FAA Telecommunications Systems, FAA Satellite, FAA Duats, National Weather Service Weather Wire, and NOAA Wind Profiler. Mr. Purnell held a variety of positions during this period with escalating responsibility. During the last two years of this period he served as the Director of Marketing and Business Development.

Mr. Purnell spent the previous 22 years as a Field Engineer supporting the design, implementation, and operations of a wide variety of communications systems for the Western Union Telegraph Company. These systems included Satellite, Microwave, closed Carrier, and Data and Telephone switching.
