Pete has 42 years experience in advertising and marketing on both the agency and client side. He began his career at Dancer-Fitzgerald-Sample (now Saatchi & Saatchi) in 1964 in New York, where he directed advertising activities for many of the agency�s leading clients, including General Mills, Procter & Gamble, 3M, Borden Foods and Wendy�s. During his 14 years at DFS, Pete gained experience in a wide range of consumer categories, including packaged foods, soaps and detergents, health & beauty aids, retail, automotive, financial, fashion and fast food. He was appointed Vice President of DFS in 1970 at age 28, the youngest VP in the history of the Agency. From 1972 to 1974, Pete left the agency business to join PepsiCo Japan, Ltd., in Tokyo, where he served as VP of marketing for Japan and the Pac Rim. In 1981, Pete joined J. Walter Thompson and spent the next 10 years managing key accounts in both their Washington and New York offices. Later, from 1991 to 1993, Pete served at Young & Rubicam, New York, where he was the EVP, Account Management Director on the agency�s $260 million worldwide AT&T business. In the Fall of 1993, Pete was appointed President of Arnold Communications in McLean Virginia and led the Agency�s growth from $15 million to $156 million, lifting the agency from 13th in the market to number one in only three years. Arnold Advertising was acquired in 1998 by Dan Snyder, owner of the Washington Redskins, and Pete left in the spring of 1999 to pursue a new career in Strategic Internet Marketing with Solven.com, a company he co-founded. For the next year he provided strategic planning for a number of companies who were committed to an e-Business Internet solution. Solven.com was merged into Immedient Corp. in May, 2000, and Pete later left in February, 2001 to become President of the Strategic Planning Group at PlanNet. PlanNet also provides professional Meeting Management services and online conference registration for meetings, conferences and incentives for organizations based in the United States and abroad |
