Peter A. Ritcher serves as chief financial officer for AT&T's wireless unit.
Ritcher came to the AT&T wireless unit from SBC Communications, Inc., where he was vice president-Corporate Finance, responsible for all financial planning and wireline financial operations.
Previously he served as vice president and controller with responsibility for all financial reporting, accounting policy, financial operations, regulatory finance, and credit and collections for SBC.
Ritcher joined SBC Communications, Inc. in 1987 as a tax compliance manager. After progressing through various positions in the tax organization, he became vice president-finance and chief financial officer for Cellular One in Chicago, a subsidiary of SBC, in 1997. He was named vice president-finance and chief financial officer for SBC National, Inc. in Dallas in 1998. He was named vice president-finance for SBC Network Services in October 1999, and was named vice president and controller in September 2000.
Before joining SBC, Ritcher worked for A.G. Edwards & Sons and Arthur Young & Co. in St. Louis.
A native of Missouri, Ritcher earned his Bachelor's Degree in Accounting from the University of Missouri-St. Louis in 1984.
