Peter J. Dehnel, MD, is chief of staff of Children�s Hospitals and Clinics of Minnesota, medical director of Children�s Physician Network, and a partner at All About Children Pediatrics in Eden Prairie. He received his BA and MD degrees from the University of Minnesota.
Dehnel serves on several professional committees at Children�s. Besides his service for Children�s, Dehnel also serves on the board of Hennepin Medical Society, the Minnesota Smokefree Coalition and the Editorial Board for MetroDoctors. He is an active member of the Quality Committee of the Minnesota Medical Association and the Section on Telephone Care of the American Academy of Pediatrics. In 2002, Dehnel received the first Champions of Change Award from Hennepin County Communities Targeting Tobacco (CTT) for his work in reducing youth exposure to secondhand smoke. In 2004, he received the Children�s professional staff�s Blanton Bessinger Child Advocacy Award for his efforts in reducing the harm caused by tobacco and secondhand smoke. |
