Pete joined Faegre & Benson in 1992 and practiced for five years in the public finance group focusing on tax-exempt real estate-backed financings. Prior to rejoining Faegre in 1999, Pete spent two years practicing real estate for the State of Minnesota, including work for the Housing Finance Agency. Since returning to Faegre & Benson, Pete has become a partner in the real estate group, participating in all aspects of commercial real estate, including condominium development, affordable housing, shopping center development and financing. Common Interest Communities. Pete has represented many developers in the creation of condominiums and planned communities. Representative projects include mixed-use developments, single-family detached homes, master developments, apartment-style condominiums, townhome-style planned communities, and condominium conversions. Pete has lectured on representing developers and builders of common interest communities. Governmentally Assisted Projects. Pete has substantial experience with tax increment financing, low-income housing tax credits, tax exempt bonds, and tax abatement, representing developers, underwriters, and municipalities.
