Peter worked with another client to develop a business case for the creation of a wholly owned subsidiary aimed at a new market segment. He has also worked with a client to assess the operational performance of a university sponsored venture capital fund. These broad experiences provide a foundation for strong technical skills and sound business judgment.
Peter works with higher education and healthcare organizations to select and implement software applications such as those offered by PeopleSoft Lawson and others. His work in this area includes selecting software planning and executing implementation cycles developing new chart of accounts and assessing past implementation efforts. Peter has helped implement the following financial modules: grants general ledger billing accounts receivable purchasing and accounts payable. He is also familiar with human resource and student administration applications.
Peter helps his clients develop strategic plans for the organization's information technology function. As part of his work in this area he has assessed the organizational structure and headcount of IT functions assessed existing MIS processes and technologies integrated the efforts of the MIS function with the broader strategic goals of the organization and developed specific recommendations aimed at improving the operational performance of the MIS function.
Peter has evaluated various financial human resource and student administration functions to identify and implement opportunities for operational improvement. His engagements in this area include identifying and implementing specific recommendations aimed at improving the level of service delivered by a particular function and/or identifying recommendations resulting in lower service delivery costs.
Peter has helped clients develop software applications for commercial release or internal use. His work in this area includes leading a team in each step of the development process including system design construction testing rollout and implementation. Peter's work in this area has resulted in a software application currently being sold by a major software vendor.
