Mr. Lynch is a 30-year veteran of the food retail industry who had previously served as president and chief operating officer of Albertson�s Inc. one of the world�s largest food and drug retailers. Since joining Winn-Dixie in December 2004 he has guided the company through a significant operational and financial turnaround that resulted in its emergence from bankruptcy in November of 2006. Mr. Lynch began his retail career with Star Markets Company Inc. where he served as vice president of operations and vice president of human resources before being named president. Mr. Lynch received his Bachelor of Science degree in finance from Nichols College where he has recently joined the board of trustees. Additionally he serves on the board of directors for the Food Marketing Institute (FMI). FMI conducts programs in research education industry relations and public affairs on behalf of its 1 700 food retailer and wholesale companies worldwide. |
