As Executive Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary, Peter Gray is responsible for the management and execution of CMGI's legal operations, providing counsel to CMGI's senior management team, its Board of Directors and the Board�s committees, as well as to CMGI's operating businesses, on a host of issues including corporate governance, corporate finance, regulatory compliance, mergers and acquisitions, intellectual property, human resources and litigation.
Peter joined CMGI in June 1999 as Associate Counsel, became Vice President and Assistant General Counsel in December 2000, and was named Executive Vice President and General Counsel in March 2002. Prior to joining CMGI, Peter was a member of the corporate department at Hale and Dorr LLP (now Wilmer Cutler Pickering Hale and Dorr LLP) in Boston, Massachusetts, where he was elected a Junior Partner in May 1998. While with Hale and Dorr LLP, Peter's practice included counseling both public and privately held corporations in the areas of corporate law, corporate finance, securities law, mergers and acquisitions, and venture capital.
Peter received a B.A., summa cum laude, in political science and economics from Tufts University, where he was elected to Phi Beta Kappa, and a J.D., cum laude, from Harvard Law School
