Dr. Peter Later is the Director at Lawrence & Memorial Hospital. He joined EMP at Lenoir Memorial Hospital in Kinston, North Carolina in 2005. Dr. Later came to EMP from York Hospital/Penn State Medical Center in York, Pennsylvania, where he completed his Emergency Medicine Residency. Dr. Later received his undergraduate training at Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah, where he received a Bachelor of Arts degree in International Studies. He received his medical degree from Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine in Kirksville, Missouri. Dr. Later is board certified in Emergency Medicine. He is certified in Advanced Trauma Life Support, Advanced Cardiac Life Support, and is an instructor/provider in Pediatric Advanced Life Support. Dr. Later is a member of the American College of Emergency Physicians and its Pennsylvania Chapter, the Emergency Medicine Residents Association, the American Osteopathic Association and the Society for Academic Emergency Physicians. |
