Peter Christen was appointed president and chief executive officer of QBE Regional Insurance in 2007. Christen joined former parent company Winterthur Insurance in 1980. Since 1986 he has held various management positions within the U.S. division, most recently as president and CEO of Unigard Insurance Companies (2000-07). Previously he was president and CEO of Blue Ridge Insurance Company (1995-2000), which is now part of General Casualty. Christen earned degrees from Kollegium Sarnen and the University of Fribourg in Switzerland. |
