Peter Potgieter M.D. joined the Company in 2007 as Vice President and Medical Director. Dr. Potgieter has more than 25 years of critical care & pulmonary medicine experience which includes senior roles as Head of Department of Critical Care Medicine at University Cape Town and Groote Shuur Hospital Cape Town South Africa. Since 1998 Dr. Potgieter has held various roles as consultant and Medical Director for Purdue Pharma Bayer Health Care Boehringer-Ingelheim Iveresk Research (formerly ClinTrials Research) and Molichem Inc. where he was responsible for the planning safety surveillance medical oversight and medical management of clinical trials for these organizations completing Phase I thru IV. In addition Dr. Potgieter was responsible for planning the clinical development of a number of compounds and for tech successfully submission of 2 NDAs. Dr. Potgieter completed his medical training MB.ChB. and MD (PhD equiv.) at the University of Cape Town Cape Town South Africa. |
