Peter joined Mendel in June, 2002 and was appointed as a research director in January, 2008. Peter has extensive expertise in the areas of plant-pathogen interactions, abiotic stress tolerance and expression profiling and currently directs a systems biology program to develop high resolution maps of plant transcriptional networks. Prior to joining Mendel, Peter worked at DNA Plant Technology in Oakland, CA. He holds a Ph.D. from UC Berkeley in Plant Biology, where he studied the molecular signaling of plant defenses against bacterial pathogens. |
