Peter Scott, Vice President of Engineering, came to Geomagic with extensive experience in 3D systems. His work in 3D visualization and simulation, interactive products and real-time applications has been highly regarded; in 1990 he was the first to receive Raytheon's prestigious Cost Savings Suggestions award for software development. His research in neural networks has been presented at the IASTED International Conference on Expert Systems and Neural Networks. After several years at Raytheon Corporation writing software and creating algorithms for laser and weather radar systems, he moved on to other software engineering positions including three years at Virtus Corporation in Cary, NC, where he was the lead technical engineer on a very successful venture capital fundraising project. At Geomagic he manages the development staff and large, partnership projects while ensuring the on-time delivery of software products and services. Mr. Scott received his MS and BS degrees in Computer Science from Union College in Schenectady, NY. |
