Peter Westley joined North Point Advisors in early 2007. Prior to joining the firm, he was a Partner and ran the Media and Internet practice at ThinkEquity Partners for several years and prior to that was a Managing Director at Salomon Smith Barney where he founded and ran the Online Media investment banking franchise. In total he has raised over $10 billion for media, technology and telecommunications clients in over 60 transactions. He has led a wide variety of deals including private placements, IPOs, follow-ons, convertible debt offerings, high yield debt offerings and both buy-side and sell-side M&A transactions. Selected lead-managed clients have included America Online, CNET, DoubleClick, Juno Online, Mail.com, Monster Worldwide, Women.com, Bresnan Communications and The McClatchy Company. Prior to Salomon, Peter worked at Canyon Partners, a distressed company hedge fund. He began his career in the M&A departments of E.F. Hutton and Smith Barney.
Peter graduated cum laude with an A.B. in government from Dartmouth College in 1986 and earned an MBA from the Stanford University Graduate School of Business in 1991. He lives in Tiburon with his wife Lisa and his two daughters Sydney and Alexandra. |
