Phil Dryden was appointed as Division Director Long Products and member of the Executive Committee from 1 January 2008.
Reporting to the Chief Operating officer, he is responsible for the activities of the Long Products Division.
Phil joined Corus in April 2004 as Managing Director, Corus Strip Products UK. A chemical engineer from Leeds University, Phil spent the early part of his career with BP Chemicals then moving on to Exxon Chemicals. He covered a variety of operational and technical roles in both organisations, working in the UK, USA and Middle East.
In 1997 he moved into the electronic component industry, joining Raychem which in 1999 was acquired by Tyco Electronics. During his time with Tyco, Phil was responsible for global operations across a variety of Tyco�s business units and was also heavily involved in their acquisition activities.
Phil is married with two sons. |
