Phil Nourie is a Senior Vice President and heads up our Financial Media Relations practice. Phil has represented high-profile companies of all sizes with a concentration in strategic media relations, financial communications, crisis management and strategic counsel.
Prior to joining FRB, Phil Nourie founded NouriePR in October 2001 after serving as director of new business at Shea Communications in New York. By July 2002, his firm had nine clients including: Winstar Communications� chairman (Crisis); IDT Corp. (M&A Comm.); Reader�s Digest (Media Relations); NASDAQ-traded Workstream Inc. (IR); Abbey Gardy, plaintiff attorneys� class action suits against Merrill Lynch (Media & Crisis).
Prior to Shea, Howard Rubenstein tapped Phil to apply his financial expertise to banking and real estate clientele. He worked on media relations and crisis management projects representing broker/dealers, buyout firms, VC�s, private equity, law firms, real estate developers and REITS. New business development was a natural for Phil as he lured Citibank Private Bank from Ruder Finn, his former employer, before joining Rubenstein. At Ruder Finn, he worked on the Citigroup merger�s media relations team and consequently handled several parts of the bank.
Phil began his financial communications career at Dewe Rogerson, representing closed-end mutual fund managers and ADR listings.
