BACKGROUND: In 1986, Phil earned his B.S. from Florida State University and in 1990 he earned his Juris Doctorate degree, cum laude, from Thomas M. Cooley Law School in Michigan. During law school he was a member of the Law Review and was a recipient of the American Jurisprudence Award -- Sales and Negotiable Instruments. Phil is also a graduate of the National Institute for Trial Advocacy. EXPERIENCE: Phil is a shareholder with GrayRobinson where he practices in the areas of commercial and trademark infringement litigation. His experience includes advising clients and handling the prosecution and defense of trademark infringement and unfair competition cases, as well as a wide range of business and real estate disputes in the state and federal court system, including specific performance, breach of contract, business torts and business fraud. Phil also has extensive experience handling emergency and time-sensitive matters involving temporary restraining orders and preliminary injunctions. Phil is responsible for handling all aspects of discovery and trial phases of litigation. In addition, he is involved in an array of alternative dispute resolution, including participation in pre-suit and post-suit mediation conferences and drafting settlement agreements.
