Philip G. Brooks, M.D. is currently a clinical professor in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of California Los Angeles (UCLA) School of Medicine. He is in private practice in Los Angeles, which he has maintained for 28 years. He was previously Associate Chief of Gynecology at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, as well as Research Fellow at Harvard Medical School. Dr. Brooks earned his medical degree from the University of Southern California (USC) in 1959. From 1960 to 1964 he was a resident in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the Los Angeles County General Hospital, where he also completed his internship. From 1980 to 1981, Dr. Brooks was president of the Los Angeles Obstetrical and Gynecological Society, where he served on the Executive Council for five years. He is a founding member and past president of the American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopists, and has held positions in the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG) including Fellow, Section Chairman and Chapter Vice President. Dr. Brooks has 74 publications to his name and is the current medical director of Gynecology at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center. |
