As CEO of Medical Media Television, Inc. Mr. Cohen acts as Chairman of the Board and CEO for PetCARE TV and produces and directs all videos. As founder and President of Medical Media, Philip Cohen has served at its Chairman of the Board , President and CEO since March 2000. In December of 1983, following his career as a Director of Special Markets with Twentieth Century Fox, Mr. Cohen pursued his concept of using the newly emerging technology known as pre-recorded video to explore new business opportunities. Working with Warner Brothers, Twentieth Century Fox, Screenplay, and C3, Mr. Cohen marketed an unrelated series of educational and entertainment programs direct to videotape, floppy disc and cartridge in a number of market categories and channels. It was during this period that he developed the Place-Based Media, or Captive Audience business model. After working with RockWorld TV (a college campus based network utilizing music video programming and supported by advertisers such as K-Mart, American Express, and Coppertone) and Canny Shopper (supermarket based terminal combining advertising programming on Laser Disc with a scrolling LED, electronic card reader and coupon dispenser with ads from over 40 grocery suppliers such as Kraft Foods and Tropicana) Mr. Cohen decided to focus on the medical waiting room and since 1986 has been producing educational programming for the veterinary and human medical professions directed to pet owners, patients and parents. Mr. Cohen has produced over 50 medical education programs sponsored by major advertisers such as GlaxoSmithKline, Merck, Pampers, Tylenol, MasterCard and Disney. In animal health, he has directed and produced 47 hours of television programming, over 100 veterinary client education programs, and 22 on-line streaming video segments, all sponsored by advertisers like Novartis Animal Health, Bayer and Alpo Petfoods. Mr. Cohen is the founder/co-founder of VMS Client Ed Videos, HealthCare Television Network, The Good Health Channel, PetCARE Television Network, Inc., African American Medical Television Network, Inc., and KidCARE Medical Television Network, Inc. He continues to be directly responsible for all video production for the subsidiaries of Medical Media as well as overall corporate management through appropriate officers and managers.
