Philip N. Kaplan was appointed Chief Strategy Officer in February 2007. An experienced and entrepreneurial senior executive, leader and strategist with 18 years experience in the IT industry, Kaplan is responsible for setting the company�s long-term strategic objectives.
Prior to joining Internap, Kaplan co-founded VitalStream, Inc. in 2000, serving in a number of key senior leadership positions including as President and Chief Operating Officer, member and Secretary of its Board of Directors. In his seven years with VitalStream, Kaplan was instrumental in the company�s founding, growth and strategic planning, leading the company through five acquisitions, NASDAQ-listing and finally the successful merger with Internap.
Prior to co-founding VitalStream, in 1995 Kaplan co-founded AnaServe, Inc where he served as Senior Vice President until 1999. AnaServe was acquired by Concentric Network Corp. in 1998. From 1993 to 1995, Kaplan was a Partner and Director of Sales for MicroTac Software, a company acquired by Globalink, Inc. in 1994.
Kaplan graduated from the University of California, Davis with a bachelor�s degree in Economics, and a minor in Russian language. He has also completed non-degree graduate studies in Marketing and Accounting at the University of California, Berkeley Extension and Golden Gate University. |
