General Partner, InterWest Partners Philip Flip Gianos is a general partner at InterWest Partners, a venture capital firm focused on Information Technology and Life Sciences. He has been working with InterWest Partners since 1982 and focuses on investments in the Information Technology area. In addition to his investment expertise, Gianos brings a unique understanding of these areas of technology from his engineering background and previous investments. Gianos often serves as an advisor on the board of his private portfolio companies. In addition, Gianos is a director (or former director) of the public companies, Stratacom, Xilinx, Ramp Networks and T/R Systems and a director (and former president) of the Western Association of Venture Capitalists. Gianos is on the advisory board of Storm Ventures and FSA. Prior to joining InterWest Partners, Gianos was with IBM Corporation for eight years in engineering management.
