Philip Jansen is a COO of Sodexho, the world's leading provider of Food and Facilities Management services which reported worldwide revenues of EUR 12 billion and 332,000 employees in 2006. He is a member of its Executive Committee and is Chief Executive for Sodexho in Europe.
Mr. Jansen has a track record of achievement in UK, European and international business. A British national and graduate of University College Cardiff (UK) in 1988 with a Bachelors of Science degree in Economics, he spent the first five years of his career in sales and marketing roles at Procter & Gamble, the U.S.-based consumer products giant. Then in 1994, he joined Dunlop Slazenger. He later became a main board director. In 1999, he moved to Telewest Communication PLC, Britain's second largest cable TV, telecoms and broadband group, serving as its managing director for the consumer division. While at Telewest, revenues grew by 30 percent to GBP 950 million and EBITDA by 70 percent to GBP 390 million. Starting in 2002 and just before coming to Sodexho, Mr. Jansen was the chief operating officer of MyTravel Group PLC, where he played a key role in its stabilization, reshaping and recovery back to a GBP 1 billion market cap company.
Born in 1967, Mr. Jansen is married and has four children. Besides his professional obligations, he is a non-executive director of England's Professional Cricket Association (PCA), and a public service commission member of the UK Better Regulation Commission. |
