Phil has 29 years of experience in hardware product development in the communications industry; including SONET/SDH, PDH, ATM and Ethernet products with the focus in the area of the design and development of data / telecom transport equipment. Phil's experience in the telecom sector focuses on system architecture design and engineering management of hardware and FPGA development. Prior to joining OnSite, Phil was a key contributor to the system architecture of several multi-service platforms which included SONET/SDH transport both at Luminous Networks and Alidian Networks where he also managed hardware and FPGA development teams. Prior to joining Alidian, Phil spent nine years at Nortel/Bay Networks and SynOptics Communications in the design development of Ethernet and ATM system products which included managing hardware and ASIC/FPGA development teams. Previously, Phil held both hardware design engineer and engineering manager positions at Harris/Farinon developing DS3 digital multiplexers, digital microwave radio modems and protection switches. Phil has a BSEE from University of Illinois and extensive MSEE studies at the University of Santa Clara. |
