Phil is a member of Gordon Arata's Commercial Litigation Section, where he works on a variety of matters, with an emphasis on public utility, class action defense, banking, construction, and insurance matters. Phil joined the firm in 2004 after having graduated cum laude from Tulane Law School, where he distinguished himself as the Champion of the 2003-2004 Tulane Senior Trial Competition - a year long mock trial competition among third year law students at Tulane. While at Tulane, Phil was also inducted into the Order of the Barristers, which is a national honor society recognizing those who excel in oral and written advocacy.Before law school, Phil studied music and music business at James Madison University in Harrisonburg, Virginia. After graduating from James Madison, Phil went to work for four years at the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts in Washington, D.C., where he served in an administrative capacity. Phil still plays the trumpet in his spare time and gravitates towards jazz music, which gives him a great appreciation and love of the New Orleans music scene. |
