Phillip Meyers is a board member of various privately held companies. Mr. Myers served as Chairman, CEO and President of the Heartland Automotive Services, Inc. (HAS) from 1995 to 1999. From 1999 - 2002, Mr. Meyers was the Chairman of HAS when the individual he hired and mentored became the CEO. HAS is the largest Jiffy Lube franchisee in the United States and is a pioneer in the development of sophisticated operating and reporting systems that have enabled its' Jiffy Lube units to substantially exceed the industry averages in volume and profitability measurements. Mr. Meyers was a 50% owner and operator of LOMA and J-Lube, Inc. which operated 19 Jiffy Lube stores in Nebraska and Austin, Texas from 1988-1995. The stores were ranked as some of the highest in the industry for profitability, volume, employee development, training and operational systems compliance. In March 1995, these entities were merged into HAS. Prior to 1988, Mr. Meyers, a CPA, was a founding partner and President of Lutz, Friedman & Meyers, P.C., an accounting firm located in Omaha, Nebraska. He specialized in business valuation, management advisory services, income tax law and capital formation for non-public clients and individuals. |
