Phil Stern co-founded yet2.com in 1999, bringing substantial financial, strategic, leadership and management experience to the company. While his primary responsibilities include operating leadership for the company, he continues to work directly on client service delivery particularly in the areas of business strategy and technology valuation. He frequently assists clients in benchmarking their IP practices, speaking internationally on the topic of excellence in technology transfer. Prior to yet2.com, Mr. Stern worked 13 years in general management and strategy consulting. He has substantial expertise in developing and implementing breakthrough strategic plans, having served clients for Bain & Company and McKinsey & Company in a wide variety of industries, including telecommunications, aerospace, oilfield services, networking, and financial services. During this time, Mr. Stern also developed an expertise in valuations of businesses and assets as well as a detailed understanding of financial planning processes. As the Division Vice President managing the Professional and Technical Imaging business for Polaroid Corporation, Mr. Stern led product development efforts, implemented new market introduction plans, and spearheaded acquisitions. Prior to his current role at yet2.com, Phil has served as Chief Financial Officer and Chief Operating Officer, managing the financial systems, Website and IP services operations. In these roles, he developed many of the firm's service offerings and lead global implementation efforts. Mr. Stern earned his undergraduate degree in Mathematics from Princeton University and his MBA from Harvard Business School, where he was a Baker Scholar. |
