Phillip Villella brings to LogRhythm a rich background in advanced data analysis, software development and advanced physics. Prior to receiving his Ph.D. in Condensed Matter Physics from the University of Colorado in 2002, Phillip held research positions at the University of New Mexico Surface Physics Laboratory, Sandia National Laboratory, Los Alamos National Laboratory and the University of Colorado. A significant portion of his thesis research involved designing and implementing software for high performance numerical simulations and advanced data analysis. As Chief Scientist at LogRhythm, Phillip is applying his analytical and simulation expertise toward the next generation of log and event management solutions. These developments are yielding solutions that empower organizations with unprecedented insight and information to make more impactful and timely decisions regarding potential security, operational and audit risks (e.g., insider threats, system vulnerabilities, process violations, etc.). |
