Purvi G. Patel is an associate in the law firm of McDermott Will & Emery LLP based in the Firm�s Chicago office. She is a member of the Trial Department.
During January and February 2007, while on sabbatical from McDermott, Purvi served as a law clerk to the Honorable Blanche M. Manning, U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois. Prior to joining McDermott, Purvi served as an extern to the Honorable Ann Claire Williams of the Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals. Before law school, she spent two years as a research analyst at a health care policy research and consulting firm in Washington, DC.
During law school, Purvi was a senior member of the Loyola Law Journal and served as the faculty-appointed student member of the school�s Dean Search Committee. In addition, she was an academic tutor for Criminal Law and Constitutional Law during her second and third years. In 2005, she was named the National Association of Women Lawyers� Outstanding Law Student for Loyola.
Purvi is admitted to practice in Illinois and before the Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals and the Northern District of Illinois. She is a member of the American Bar Association and the Illinois State Bar Association.
