Dr. Ma has been the managing director of Time Innovation Ventures, a venture capital firm, since 2000, and has served as a professor of electrical engineering at the University of Hong Kong since 1998. An associate professor at Columbia University from 1994 to 2000, he has also served as a technology consultant to IBM, General Electric, TRW Inc. and DuPont. Dr. Ma is a co-founder of and advisor to Semiconductor Manufacturing International Corp., and has served as an adviser to the Ministry of Information Industry, Beijing Government, and as senior advisor to Zhangjiang Hi-Tech Park in Shanghai. He received his PhD from Columbia University, and attended the Executive Program of Stanford University's School of Business. Dr. Ma has been a director of Comtech since December 2004. |
